Edith Wakida

Mbarara University of Science and Technology

Edith Wakida is a student at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) with interest in implementation science in the final stages if her PhD program.  The overall aim of her work was to evaluate the uptake of integrating mental health services into Primary Health Care by Primary Health Care providers’ (PHCPs), and assess their ability to perform the integration while utilizing the Uganda Clinical guidelines. The poster presentation is part of the findings from the PhD work.

Professionally, Edith Wakida is a grants management specialist, a co-investigator responsible for the implementation of the Heat- professionals Education Partnership Initiative–Transforming Ugandan Institutions Training Against HIV/AIDS (HEPI-TUITAH), and founder Alpha Center for Research Administration (ACRA) in Uganda.
